What is TEMPO?
TEMPO is a non-profit organization established in 1995. We support the award-winning Truckee High School Band Program as well as the Alder Creek Middle School Music Program. Our fundraising efforts support all the bands at both schools and allow students to participate in honor bands, festivals, workshops and our spring band tours without the financial burden often placed on families, to ensure that music education is accessible to all students.
Our signature fundraiser is The Gatsby, a 1920s themed event featuring THS and ACMS Jazz Band students. Funds raised also support instrument purchases, uniforms, maintenance and repair, scholarships for summer music education, and college music scholarships.
